Branchwraiths are vengeful spirits of the deep wood, sinister leaders who gather the spiteful children of the forest to war. Born from ancient grief and nourished by blood spilled beneath sacred boughs, a Branchwraith glides on root limbs and taloned branches, its withered form wreathed in witch light and whispered curses. Legends say each one remembers every axe stroke dealt to its grove. Where a Branchwraith appears, courage rots, the undergrowth stirs, and death comes shrieking from the trees.
